Kanawha River Cleanup 2011

More than 100 volunteers removed 3.5 tons of litter, debris and old tires from the shorelines of West Virginia's Kanawha River on September 10th. That total is down from previous years and organizers with the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection say they hope that it's a sign their efforts to educate people on why they shouldn't litter are paying off.  To find out more about programs like this, please click on the following link: http://www.dep.wv.gov/dlr/reap/Pages/default.aspx
